Unit bearings

Unit bearings
Hey Folks,
I'm pretty sure my front passenger's side main bearing is going out. I lost the driver's side about 20k miles ago, now I feel/hear some similar rythmic clunking from the passenger's side. I'd like to be totally sure before ordering the part though. Could it be the other bearing up there (needle bearing?) Also, I was advised to buy the Timken assembly from rockauto. I'm SRW 4x4, but they have one with fine thread studs and one with coarse thread studs (coarse is about $15 more.) Are these the wheel studs? How can I be sure which I have?
Thanks,
Jack

Best way to know for sure is to check a wheel stud with a pitch gauge.

Best to check the pitch. Maybe buy a couple lug nuts, corse & fine if you dont have a pitch gauge. Mike said in post 43 his 03, 250, 4X4 had fine threads studs in this thread. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys, I'll check the pitch.
I think I'll order the unit bearing from rockauto, and check it when I have the old one apart. If the needle bearing seems to be the culprit, I'll buy one and return the unit bearing. I just want to get the good deal on rockauto, unless my local parts house has it cheap.
Thanks again
