Power Window/door wiring harness???

If I pick up an 85 or 86 Without power windows/doors, Did ford install the wires "under the dash" for plug and play if I get stock power window and door motors/switches from a donor truck?

Scroll down to the "Electrical" link. It's likely that you'll have your questions answered there.
Then let us know how you made out.

But to answer your question, yes, sort of. Ford put most of the wiring in that you need for many factory options; you just need to find the factory plug in the existing wiring and have the door wiring that you're trying to install.
But check out the link for more concise information.
If you're thinking about installing the power window guts in the door, IDK if that works.
Have fun!

It is plug and play of sorts. You will have to get the circut breakers and the wiring for the doors and door conduits if your truck has no radio or AM or AM/FM mono radio.

The wires will plug directly into the fuse panel, and the circut breakers will plug right in. so it's a little more complicated than just plugging two wire connectors together.

Then you may have to drill holes for the rubber conduits.

Then you will have to change the guts in the doors etc...

The wiring harness actually runs up along the inner cowl, and drops down on each side to connect to the doors. You will need to change the window regulators for power ones. You can use newer regulators, I think all the way up to 96/97, the motors change on the later ones though. I put a set from a 90 in mine. Your biggest problem will be finding good 85-86 window switch bezels, Archion has been trying to find a ggod set for his 86.

Even though I don't have a truck in-hand yet, I guess I should start scowring bone yards in the area for the power door guts/bezels.

Correct, but on trucks without power windows these need to be removed from the donor truck and added. Some of the wires plug into the fuse panel with their circut breakers. They are not present on trucks with manual windows and locks.
