resistall paint and fabric treatment

ok Question for the forum

Just bought a new 350 lariat

I received an e-mail form my sales person to ask if we would like resistall paint and fabric treatment installed.....

Have any of you done this?

Is it worth the $400 bucks to do it?????

My wife's expedition has it, we got it thru a dealer trade so I had no choice. I have no idea if it does anything so I would say that it's probably a money making add on for the dealer.

That's my take on it too. Besides, ask your salesman what fabric it protects since you've got leather seats.

Its basically Scotch-Guard. We used it on the soft goods at a furniture store I worked at. I dont believe its worth the money, especially since you can get Scotch-Guard at the store pretty cheaply. As for the paint protectant, Toyota uses a similar stuff on all their rides when they come to port and is basically just a wax. Not worth the money in my eyes.
