While BlackChrome is fine with his lower boost, he is another data point. 06 with limited boost after the EGR delete was added. There has to be a reason.

If the port is plugged where the EGR cooler inserts into the manifold, then you should be able to just install the valve and leave it plugged in.

remove the plate, reintall the valve and plug it in. looks more stock too.
also you will continue to get p0403 and a check enigne light. odds are it will come on every 2-3 days depending on driving.
