Hi guys im new to this site i have a 1995 ford f150 truck the transmission is giving me problems when it shifts into reverse it shift hard all the rest work good shift find just wondering if anyone had an idea of whats causing it it has a 4.9 engine in it and i would guess it has an e40d tranny thanks

 

I would check the engine idle, high engine idle is the number one cause of a harsh engagement into reverse.
