5.4l Keeps killing Coil Packs! Need help!
I have replaced 14 coil packs on my 1998 F250 Light Duty. what makes them keep going out? Please help!

Are you washing the engine bay or playing it the water/ off roading?
What kind of COPs do you use for replacements?

I use borg warner from oreillys i dont do any off roAding. Or playing in water

Nothing will last as long as Motorcraft COPs!
How often are they going out and all of them or just certain ones?

Just certain ones. They go out about every 6 months

Mostly the rear two. Number 2,7,3 alot also. Not a big deal to change but sometimes the CEL wont even come on

There is a lot of people that have a problem with water leaks.
Sometimes the sealer under I think the wiper cowl leaks.
Also the heater hoses where they connect to your firewall are a well known problem.

Yeah i had fixed the heater hose problem, when they go out they are never wet thats why i cant figure out the problem.

How are you determining the coils you are replacing are bad?

CEL. It takes weeks to register though sometimes. I dont know any other way to pin point the one thats out.
