7th Annual "Ride With a Purpose" Car Show (56K WARNING!!!)

Another Memorial Day weekend, another "Ride With a Purpose" show. Seems bike riders were down a bit from previous years, but it seems we had a few more cars than previous years. Here's a few shots (I took over 80)

This thing was bad...in a good way. Serious lope and big block sound. Never found out what was in it.

Fairlane 500 with Continental kit and all. He couldn't keep it running but when it did run it sounded good. Needs a little TLC but otherwise very sound.

This 90's Mustang had ghost flames painted in the hood. Believe it was a 5.0 but didn't fully investigate. Very clean.

The "T-Bucket" came back again...the Kubota diesel powered Ford Roadster.

This was a unique entry - really clean roadster (sensing a theme?)

We had three drag cars show up, two of which were Mustangs. SERIOUS horsepower...the ground shook when one fired up. Those motors definitely were NOT stock...lol.

Another oldie - really cool color on this one. Very mellow - a sleeper of sorts.

More shots...

Someone lost their head...

This Mustang Convertible was with us last year and came back this year.

This was some really cool artistry work on the side panel window of a black 32 coupe

The only GM product I'd own...68 Camaro

SVT Mustang that was parked next to me - original owner, original mileage. Still has his window sticker too.

68 Mustang on the other side of me - pretty tough shape.

32 Roadster...

And a couple shots of mine at the event:

My "mascot" for the day - a Relay for Life bear nicknamed "Faith"

Display Card...several key "thank-you's" are cut off - B&B Graphics, LKQ Automotive in particular...:

Thanks Joe. That Camaro's the only GM I'd own - looked sweet and that 350 was running well; sounded really good.

Bill other than your truck my pick would have been the white early 70's f-100 with what sounded like a big block.

Marshall - thanks. That 71/72 was sounding hardcore with that motor in it. I asked around at church this morning out of curiosity if anyone knew about it, but whoever had it didn't say much because no one I asked knew anything. Great truck though.

Thanks George, on both accounts.
