Angry First Problem with 2011 F-250

my power steering hose decided to poop itself the day I bring it in to get an oil change done..... oh well!! at least ford breaks parts conveniently on the way to the dealer instead of in the bush it has 17000kms on it. and I'm not mad either lol just found it funny

Reminds me when my wife bought an Escape. Drove it the 3 miles from the dealership to home and parked it in the driveway. 10 minutes later the driver is a flood of green from the ruptured lower radiator hose.....3 miles! The dealership did treat us well. Besides fixing the problem they threw in 2 free oil changes. Crap happens!

Curious about the leak. Wat it the hose itself that failed or one of the high pressure fittings?

That's good, sounds like it was just bad luck and good timing. And not a problem with the part itself.

Your right about the good timing. My 08 blew a hose fitting like that, and I didn't know it. Leaked quite abit out before I caught it. Pump was whining like a SOB. Got it to the dealer, and they replaced the hose......But not the pump. From then on, there was no leak, but the pump was loud and the steering was weird. That hydroboost system still has me wondering. Why would the tie breaks into steering.
