The owner claimed this was a rare K code '64 Mercury Comet, with a "Super Cyclone" HiPo 289. He said Shelby got in an argument with Lee Iacocca because Shelby wanted the 289 HiPo for his '65s, so he said they stamped out the VINs for these cars prior to putting in the 289s, he said there were 7,000 something of these cars made, and they were only made from January to June. I can't confirm or deny his story, But Bill (ND) can. People these days are so full of Bulls#it at car shows. I had a guy tell me he owned a '47 F-100. Not only did the F-1 not come out until '48, but it wasn't designated F-100 until '53... AND, a '47, '48, and a '53 are all THREE different body styles...
Bill (ND) This one's for you, since I know you love Howdy Doody.
It gives me hope I saw 50s, 20s, and 10s in there!
Poor rare '49 Studebaker Pickup...
Check out this '41 "Kenworth/United Fire Truck"
Nice Olds...
