Vapor Lock in a 302?
Having problems with an 87 F250 with a 302. When it's warm out the truck will run fine for about 20 - 30 minutes then it will stall. Changed distributor, coil, and computer. Does a 302 have vapor lock issues? Fuel pump maybe? It doesn't matter which fuel tank I run on, the problem persists.
Thanks,
Daryn

I replaced the ICM when I rebuilt the distributor. It does have to cool down before it will restart though.

In the 90s my 88 F150 with the 302 plus dual tanks had the same issue.
I replaced all items related to the fuel system. FPR, relays, filter, Hi Press fuel pump and finally the intank low press pumps.
These pumps were easily damaged by water in the gas tank.
These LP pumps would build up enough fuel pressure to feed the HP pump, but
the lack of volume from the LP pumps would cause the truck to stall.
It may not be your problem, but it is something to look into.
And yes, both pumps failed at the same time.
