My Brake lights dont work but my third brake lights comes on and the tailights work too.

 

Check fuses, then brake light switch on brake pedal. It helps with the de activating cruise.

 

I had this happen on my explorer. It ended up being a wire pulled out of the switch activated by the brake pedal. I twisted the wire end up and shoved it in the slot it came out of and never had a problem thereafter. Good luck fixing it .
