Hey guys -

Got into a small fender-bender yesterday thanks to some moron. Anyway, it looks like the only thing that got messed up is the front bumper, plastic cover and maybe a couple of the brackets. Luckilly, everything else underneath is straight. Anyone know where I can get an exploded view of the bumper and bracketry?

1999 F-250 SD Lariat.

Thanks in advance.

The front bumper has 4 bolts that hold it on and the brackets behind the bumper (behind the chrome part) can be replaced each piece. The mounts on the frame are welded and if bent can be moved with a big adjustable wrench or maybe pipe wrench unless that are damaged to the point of replacement. Then its cut and weld time. Washers or shims can be used to true the bumper front to rear and the 4 bolts can be loosened up to move it left to right or up and down within reason. Good luck

Thanks for the replies, gents.

I got underneath last night and have come to the conclusion that only damage is to the passenger side. The 'U'-shaped frame horn bracket is bent a little and so is the single straight support bracket. Looks like I can salvage both quite easilly. Looks like only the chrome bumper itself and the plastic fascia needs to be replaced.

Diagrams show 'V' shaped brackets that go from the outside of the frame rails to the lower corners of the bumper. My truck doesn't have those and there doesn't seem to be any indication that they were ever installed. My '99 was built in March of '98, and I understand there were some changes made to the basic setup somewhere around September of '99.
