Turn signal lever 2011's

Anyone else not liking how the new turn signal lever operates? Its very easy to turn on in the wrong direction when you turn it off!!

Sure doesn't work anything like the 2009 and beyond

I seem to like it. I have only had my truck for 3 days and I am used to it. Its a matter of preference I guess.

Like Mine

I actually like the turn signal on 2011 XLT crew....makes lane changing nice when you just touch the lever......sort of like most german vehicles.

After 3 weeks I'm not a fan. Too often it won't shut off when changing lanes and then I push it the opposite direction only to turn it on going that way. Actually turns are fine but lane changes get annoying after awhile. Even bumping it will turn it on randomly.

I am definitely a fan. It's been this way in the VWs for years. Not sure how one turns it on the wrong way to turn it off. To turn it off, you don't go back, you go same direction...

I'll have to give that a try. That would certainly change my opinion if that works.

turn signal

I didn't like it initially, but now I do. Once I understood the lever has two setting it made all the difference. If you push the lever gently it will go into lane change mode and your signal light will blink 3 times then shut off automatically. If you push the lever to the full extend the signal light will stay on until you have turned or manually turn it off. The signal can be turned off by simply tapping the lever up or down. It doesn't matter which direction.

Must be different

Yes it works on mine. I have the FX4 w/ luxury package. Just push the lever part way up or down and the it will blink 3 times and then turn off. I have to push it up or down all the way to work normally.

Thanks for the education session. Now I don't mind it at all. Works just as you say.
