Was wonderin where the oil pressue sending unit is located in a 1992 F150 with a 302. Any help is appreciated.

 

Right in front of the oil filter. Behind the AC/PS bracket.

 

Alright. Will replacing this fix my oil pressure gauge? The needle on my gauge is always showing completely low oil pressure. When i take off from a stop, it moves to about mid range and then goes right back to low.

 

Maybe. Just be aware that your OP gauge is not really a gauge, it's an idiot light. The sender is only an on-off switch that comes on at 7 psi. There is a resistor on the back of the gauge that makes it read in the "normal" range when grounded by the sender.

 

It should fix it. Really no point in replacing it. Just put an aftermarket gauge in.

My stock gauge shows very low all the time but my aftermarket is at 60psi..

 

or just do the conversion and jump the wire on the back of your cluster and put a real OP sending unit in from say... a 85 302... There are tons of threads on here about how to do the conversion. then you get an actuall variable pressure reading on your stock cluster guage.
