Ford Installed Auto Start

Thanks - The article I read was from a F150 forum and escape so was not sure if those problems carried over to the install in to the Super Duties. I hate running out to the truck when it's below 0 and blowing. Had this in my 99 F350. The price was a little more then what I could of gotten but that would require another 14-hr drive to get it done. Plus heck they are willing to drive the truck 600 miles to drop it off so I'll throw a few extra dollars for that...

Stays running on the 2011. Open the doors get in put the key in turn it on and watch the guages all flip to the right and then back to the left and the settle into the running mode positions. Never thought I would like it but I use it a lot even if it is not cold. This is the first rig I have that has the remote start. The other 2 rigs don't have remote start but you don't have to put a key in just have the key fob in your pocket and use the push to start button and it fires up. Boy are we all getting spoiled.

Talked with dealer today via email. It is not the "Ford" auto start but an aftermarket they utilize. They stated it's a better version then stock... Should have that done today and bedliner done tomorrow. Looks like next week they will drive it over. I have to put my (4) LF 240 up front but have to get a new bar for those. Last truck they were on the Headache Bar. Have to get Studded tires for this winter but otherwise will keep as is for a little while.

No my choices were limited. They had (3) 6.2 on the lot. All the same except color. To order one and get shipped up here takes some time. I'm not complaining although the productive unit is nice. This will be a combo personal/work truck so I stayed away from the Lariet. Nice truck just too nice for business... My 06 was a testiment to that.
I just wish I could of gotten the D-Plan on F450. They had a CC with 10' flat bed that I really wanted but for the price I'll continue to drag around trailers...

Well was emailed its an Automate AM6. Look on the internet. So-so unit. All I really want is autostart. Not worried about the security. S&W takes care of that along with his friend G27. What sucks is they are charging me $400 for the unit and install. I understand time is money but I guess I should look at it as the fact "I won't have to deal with it". Other positive side - warranty will cover it...
