Ford dealer wont give loaner
One of my local ford dealers wont give me a free loaner. My Premium ESP definately covers rental reimbursement. The dealer says they will only give a car to people who bought their for at this specific dealer. Even though I bought my Ford elsewhere this location is the most convienent to my house and I planned to do my service there. I wont be going there after this though.
I dont think this is ok per the franchise agreement with Ford. Dont dealers have an obligation to honor the Ford ESP terms?

Rental car reimbursement and a loaner are two totally different things.
The loaner is a convenient, courteous, offer that only some dealerships will do.
The rental car reimbursement is for instances similar to when you're out of your vehicles for days/weeks at a time due to repair work or an accident. This means you physically get a rental yourself, you file the claim with the ESP provider, and they eventually cut you some sort of funds in return.

Got it. Thanks. In any case I will never use Freehold Ford's(Freehold, NJ) service department because of that policy. I will also never buy a car at Freehold Ford because of that Policy.
I called All American Ford in Old Bridge (only 10 min further away from me) and they were way nicer and said absolutely they will extend a loaner during the repairs. They will also be first choice when I go to buy a new F150 Ecoboost.

If your dealer won't facilitate your free rental according to your ESP then find a new dealer. They get reimbursed by Ford when you have this option on your extended warranty. I upgraded mine to be first day rental for any reason, service or repair. Make sure you told them you don't want a loaner, you want your free rental car and show them your ESP contract.

Whatever. Its a common courtesy that I have had with every car I have ever owned. Even a Hyundai has that service. If this dealer is willing to do it for ONLY people that bought their car there, then screw them. To me its two different things. Their decision will cost them in future sales from me as well as future service. That decision ASSURES I will not buy from them. To me its bad business.
