There's a whole lot of stupid right there. They forced it out by pulling entirely on one side, so you can pretty much guarantee the case is distorted and bearing journals are ruined.

 

cartmania I noticed that they pulled it from one side as well, most likely caused damage, I own a case spreader but never had to use it yet...rebuilt many gm corperate diffs and a few fords, the only dana's i rebuilt were 44's which the carrier was fairly easy to pry out, these guy's went too far to get the diff apart !

 

Yeah, I changed my D60 and 10.5 gears without a spreader, just carefully used pry-bars to get the carrier out.

 

Redneck needs to learn how to hold a camera still. Not that it matters I suppose.
