I found a really nice set of bucket seats (driver, middle, and passenger) out of a 1997 F-250, thinking that the would probably fit my 1993 F-350. I currently have a bench seat in my truck, so it would be a significant upgrade in comfort. Does anyone know if these seats will work and how much conversion would have to be done to get them bolted it? I don't mind doing some modification if I don't have to butcher up the cab inside. ..................thanks, guys. ............Mike.

 

Seats like these? They should go in just fine, might have to tap a new hole or two.

 

Hey, thanks for the info but these new seats are out of a '97 and looks somewhat different. There is a middle seat (narrower than the other 2) that has a back which folds down flat so you can put stuff on it. I don't mind doing some hold drilling but I'm definitely concerned about dimensions and the shape of the floor pan differences.

 

Great looking seats, what year did they come out of?

 

My 93 F250 has the same seats & console as snapon's truck. (only his are cleaner...)
I wish I could find another set for my F350...

 

They came with my truck, stock 92' w/XLT Lariat package.

 

I had the same as snaponprofile, except mine were well trashed come time I bought the truck. I put a blue XL bench out of a 1992 f250 single cab, hell of a lot more comfy than trashed captains.

 

You can always get a super comfortable bench seat out of the 87-91 models like my parts truck had.

It's shaped like a bucket where you sit, and has a fold down arm rest in the middle and high back rest (not that high but higher than the standard bench).

That seat is now in my 1989 F150 Custom, I still have the nice original red standard bench simply cause it looks brand new. Only thing I don't like as much about the comfortable bench is you sit abit lower than you do on the standard bench.

 

Yaa my 1994 regular cab buckets look different than snapon's, I think they're the same as 97, they have the fold-down seat in the middle with cupholders and storage in the back. There's also a longer ledge along the outer edge, with the lumbar buttons and such.

I never directly measured it, but my 1996 bench and 1994 buckets seem to have identical 4 bolt-down locations. The bench had the 4 spots integrated while the buckets bolted to a frame that sat in the 4 spots.
Now that I think of it my 1994 parts truck had a bench and I'd swear the mounts were identical to my 1994 buckets as well.

 

The center hump on the floor may differ from 250 to 350, I know that my seats which are identical to snapon's came out of a 150 and went into a 450 so I had to mess with the rails and take parts from one and put them on the other as well as modifiy the floor mount bracckets a bit on the passenger side.
The drivers side went right in with just two new holes, the passenger side took a little more adjusting to get it the correct distance from the center console.

It's totally do able you just have to mess with the slides and mix the parts,You may have to remove some rivet on the slides to get them apart, sounds worse than it is.
The seats on snapons are the same as the ones I took out of a 92.

 

150-250-350 should all be the same cab up until 97 when the F150 got a new body style, shortly after that the 250's and 350's did too, but I don't follow the different styles so don't know for sure.

One thing that will make a difference, is regular, extended, or crew cab. They have some differences in the floor pans, though I've heard 2 are the same for front seats, but the 3rd isn't (don't remember which matched what).

If they came out of trucks in the same style/year range. You should be able to make them fit, although you'd need whatever mounting brackets are underneath. I did something rather different. I would have loved the buckets you guys have with a cupholder in the middle, but really haven't had the time to search around the yards here. I did find a nice 60-40 split bench in a 99 F-150 ext. cab for a decent price from a guy on craigslist. The floorpan and thus brackets were completely different from my 88 with a regular cab. I was able to pull the brackets of the 88 bench and with a decent amount of fabricating the other 3/4 of a bracket for each side, got something that worked. Through creative fabricating, I only had to make one new hole. Still no cupholder, but I got an armrest, lumbar support, tilting seat back, and much easier access behind the seat.

Also, maybe my truck had some fat PO who blew out the bench seat, but the new one is a hell of a lot more comfortable. The top of the seat is the same height, but I swear I'm at least 2 inches higher (doesn't sag when I sit down), and my butt/back don't bottom out every time I hit a bump. In my opinion, a 20 year old 200,000 mile bench seat sucks!
