my truck needs a new paint job but the wife and I can't justify the 5500 dollars to get a Good paint job. I like the truck bed liner look and the durablity of it. I am really thinking about it. I dont want the 50 dollar paint job because in my opinon it looks like crap and doesnt seem very durable. However i do think that this could be a viable option and still have a nice looking truck. I dont want a crappy looking truck but i dont want a trailer queen either. I really am thinking about having all the body work done on the truck really getting it nice and smooth and then doing the liner. I think this could add a unique factor to the truck and make it really durable plus give some rust protection. it may not be for some but i would like for the old truck to look good and not have to freak out cause of a scratch.

from what i understand from the owner of the blue truck he painted his truck with the line x xtream and he then painted over the line x with 4 coats of base and 4 coats of clear. he said he got the paint at napa. he got the the liner from Welcome to Liner Xtreeme. he said it has held up perfect even through a bad winter. he lives in rochester ny so i am thinking this is some durable stuff.

Search around for a paint respray. The last car I painted ended up costing about $300. That was with a catalyzed urethane paint. There is a guy local to me that does full resprays for around $700. I think he uses a catalyzed enamel for that price. And of course, that doesn't include much bodywork.
