dropping gas tank

I need to replace my midship tank what type of connection did they use to on the gas line? I have a 1982 F250. Will i have to clamp off the rear fuel line or will they be closed off at the tank selector?

Should be just hose clamps, back then. I would fold the end of the hose over and seal it off good, or put a bolt in the end. You don't want any dirt getting up in there.

It's been years since I've taken a tank off but like Rich said the last time I did it I pushed a nail set in the line end until the tank was off. There'll be some fuel left in the tank too.
