DESIGNATED FORD F14000, APARENTLY THEY USED THE OLD '70'S F SERIES CAB, HOOD AND FENDERS AND THE PRODUCTION RUN WAS FROM 1980-1988

I for one don't speak spanish, portugese or any native dialects and doubt chile or argentina has stockpiles of ford heavy truck parts laying around ready to ship to North America. Ford built them in a plant in down there.

First off, Spanish won't do you any good, Brazilians speak Portugese! I don't know what they are using under the hood of those things now, but Brazilian medium duty F trucks had 292 Y-Blocks in them until the mid-70's! Ford of Brazil did redesign the cylinder heads on their 292's, came up with something similar to a Windsor head. Brazil is full of surprises, they also built the '67-'72 F-100's until the 80's. But, before you try to go down there and collect one, they used the Pinto 2.3L OHC 4 cylinder under the hood. Guess they have a lot of time to get where they are going in Rio.......

The current ones use diesel engines, either the 3.9l I4 Cummins or 4.2l I6 MWM engines.

The grille looks better than the US version. Would be pretty nice having that front end on a crew cab 67 or so 4X4, but with a good & peppy diesel.
