3.5L EcoBoost torque variance?
Sorry for being too lazy to use Google...I was wondering if anyone knows why there's such a gap between the torque for the EcoBoost in the F-150 and the EcoBoost in the Flex and Taurus? Chassis limitations in the smaller vehicles? Drivetrain limitations?
My folks bought a '10 Flex EcoBoost AWD at the beginning of December...certainly can't say I'm a fan of the styling (IMO, ugliest thing to come out of Dearborn since the Focus! ), but the little thing goes like stink! I'm kinda wondering if something as simple as a computer swap could be done (assuming the F-150 and the Flex/Taurus computers are even interchangeable). Mom and Dad are both in their 60s and really don't need any more torque, but for the occasional ride I might take in it, well....
Thanks...
Pat
