But if it is some kind of a joke...I would like to discuss my 1979 F250 4x4 SuperCab short bed with a factory 460. Did I mention it is a Factory Highboy?

Did it come from the factory that way ? no.Did it come from the Dealer that way? Hmm well it's possible. But "pieced together sounds kinda like it's just rigged up junk or something. Your truck didnt come from the factory lifted with 36's on it but I definatly wouldnt say it's pieced together.
I know we get guy's all the time that think trucks like this came from the factory like that but, I think we need to cut them some slack. I mean this might be a 16yr old kid or something. At the very least he's new to this board and if you wasnt alive in 1978 or havent been researching these trucks It would be hard to know otherwise. When i was younger there was a truck just like he describes that ran around town and i would have guessed it was stock back then.
Im not trying to argue, i agree its not factory and I know yall are just trying to explain this to this guy and the many others with similar "factory" trucks but I think sometimes the message can come across the wrong way.

I'm not saying the OP is doing this, but threads come up all the time with topics like this just to start an "argument". Most cases the people who start the thread have very low post counts and you never see them respond to other posts.
I do want to see some pics of the truck.

Like I stated in my previous post, no offense to the OP if this a legitimate thread, but it seems that almost every single one of the common misconceptions pertaining to these trucks was addressed in the description of this vehicle. Like the OP may be trying to get a rise out of some folks. I may be wrong, but I'm just sayin'.
