My 0 to 60 run...

My MSD Dashhawk does some "performance testing". The Dashhawk connect to the truck's ODB port and reads the truck speed from the truck computer. Assuming the computers speed is accurate, I've found that the Dashhawk to be fairly accurate... not perfect but has given me some pretty good number in the past.. for example my last car was rated at 6.0 sec. for 0-60 and my Dashhawk consistently would give me 6.0 to 6.1...

So just for grins I decided to do a 0-60 run in the truck this morning. I had no idea what to expect. I stalled the motor up a bit, tires slipped just a bit and got a pretty good launch. The 0-60 time came up 7.57 sec. I didn't think that was too shabby for my land yacht! LOL!

Here is the graph from my run...

Truck has 3.73 gears...

What surprised me was the 1-2 shift was just over 5,000 RPM even at WOT... This was just in D... guess next time I'll try M!

Yep, live in Saginaw Township...

I use Alternative Auto down in Chesterfield Township, (think Mount Clemens). Their website is: Alternative Auto Performance - Mustang and Ford Performance Experts

That's pretty damn good. My V10 gets 9 second 0-60's with a tune.

I do the same, with my SCT X3 tuner. I datalog the road speed, and of course, it timestamps each sample. So I wrote a quick script (program) that takes the datalog, and spits out 0-60 times.

Now if your script could predict my 1/4 mile times!

Come on spring!
