i assume from reading wmo is waste motor oil, i have a 7.3 idi diesel, and i am a maint man at a foundry, i take care of 30 diesel forklifts serviceing them every 200hrs , with a service it gets an oil change and the trans fluid changed..and it all gets dumped into a 55 gal drum, there might ever be a bit of hyd oil in there too....how would this combo do?, i know when i change fuel filters on the diesels i always use tranny fluid to fill the filter

I'm just curious. When you change filters on a diesel, you always fill the filter with tranny fluid? Why not fill the filter with diesel?

thats the way i was taught with a diesel....supposedly atf has some real good solvents in it and with it being thicker than diesel it will clean out the injectors...is this true or not.....i dont know.....but i always have done it

ATF I have heard is the best diesel injector cleaner available. I run WMO in my 2000 7.3, however I would run nothing but ATF if I could get my hands on it. I believe it is the same viscosity as diesel. WMO is to thick at 30* to start the truck outside unless you keep it plugged in. I am in no way recommending you run anything except diesel in your truck though. Could trash your fuel system. I only have logged 10,000 miles so far, don't know the consequences yet.
