tires & 6.2

with the 6.2 and the 4:30 gears will a 33' tires knock it down to a 4:10 and result in better mpg?

A 275/70/18 tire is a 33" tall tire. Metric To Inches Tire Size Conversion I think maybe going to a 35" might do the trick. That is what I am planning.

How much heavier will the taller tires be? If they are heavier then it would most likely offset any kind of fuel savings. The things is extra weight in the tires is not simply dead weight, it's rotating weight which is something like double... so if you r new tires weight 5 pounds more that's really like 10 pounds of dead weight... times that by four... Of course I realize there that is still very small compared to the overall weight of the truck.... But then again how much difference in MPG is there between the 4.30s and 4.10s?

Also probably going to want to have the computer changed to reflect the taller tires to correct the speedo...
