Question Rear Sliding Window Lock Missing

Bought this 2002 F-250 and just noticed that the rear sliding window lock is missing. Looks like it just glues on. I searched behind the seat and such but I don't have it. Is there somewhere I can purchase the replacement lock? I called the local dealer and was told they don't carry nor can get it. Any suggestions? THANKS

Check out partsguyed.com web site. The latch is listed there under rear glass parts.

Ed is a sponsor here. You can't beat his team's service.

Hello, Mine fell off over two years ago. What type of glue do I use to put it back on with? I have a shell on my bed so I never worried about putting it back on, but I guess I should before I lose it.

I used rear view mirror adhesive. It came as a kit from the auto parts store, worked very well.

+1 on the rear view mirror glue. I set mine (on my '00) with a set a vice grips lightly tightened. It seemed to need some pressure in order to stay in place.

Check the local junk yards for a cheap one.

Check with an auto glass shop for the part and the adhesive.

No luck there, but thanks for the suggestion. They actually reuse the latch if you have one since they make their glass (safelite anyways), if not it cost more to change out the glass because they get it from ford at that point. That $30 is starting to look better after all, lol.....

That is probably going to be the cheapest out there, unfortunately.

Yup, that is what I was about to recommend, too. Good stuff!

Check LMC. I don't know if it's the same on the Super Dutys, but the 97-03 150 and 250 latch is listed at 9.95. I think I saw the latch in my other catalog, but I can't find it right now. Truck Parts and Truck Accessories for Chevy, GMC, Ford and Dodge Trucks from LMCTruck.com

I think I have one from my 04. I'd have to hunt for it if I do find it before you buy one ill let you know. Mine came off and I tried several different things to get it to stay on the window. I should have tried rear view mirror glue but decided not to because it said not for plastic. I found some glue that would make it stick for a few months or so then finally gave up on it. I really like having the power rear window now.

How did you do the conversion, and how simple/affordable was it? I am looking at doing this to my 2003, unfortunately it was not an option until '04.

the conversion was pretty simple. i went to the dealer signed a few papers and left with a 2006 and let them keep the 2004
paid about 10 grand for the mod lol they did throw in the tow comand, heated seats, steering wheel controls and upfitters along with nearly a year of warranty and about 70k less on the clock
