2010 F150 Dual exhaust.
Looking to put dual exhaiust on my 2010 F150. looking for some advise over muffler. Flowmax or magnaflow. Do not want it very load. looking a little smooth churn like the mustang. As you know ford is very distinctive and I want it to be heard to some degree. any thoughts?

If you want a nice smooth deep tone then I'd go with Magnaflow with a 2.5" pipe.
If you want it to roar to life, then a Flowmaster 40 series with a 2.75" pipe will be in order.
The rule of thumb is that the larger diameter of the pipe will make the tone lower. More volume area = less air speed = lower tone/pitch.
Do you have a custom muffler shop near you? If yes, then you might want to inquire there and see what custom bending options they have. Don't go the aluminized steel route as you're likely to only get a few years (depending on your climate) before it'll begin to rust, etc. You'll also want to go with mandrel bends instead of a typical pipe bender.

yes it's a 5.4. and I am talking with a custom Exhaust shop in NC.
As for the pipe are you saying go with stainless or are there other options?.
for Mandrell bent that is a KIT correct? Do I assume this is common or something I need to make sure I check into given this is a custom exhaust shop?

Go stainless, if your budget allows for it. If not, then aluminized steel is your only other option.
Some higher end shops have mandrel pipe benders. Most shops however will not. Mandrel bends are far superior to traditional pipe benders because mandrel keeps the diameter of the pipe the same whereas traditional bends slightly decrease the diameter in the bend.
YES most kits that you buy from a supplier will be mandrel bends, but not all. I would ask the shop and the supplier of kits if they have mandrel bends before purchase. Personally I think that if you're going to shell out that kind of coin, you might as well get your money's worth.

If you just want the sound and don't care about the looks as far as tips or duel exhaust then i'd go with just a muffler replacement. Shouldn't cost you much more than $200 that route. still sounds good at a fraction of the cost. I wish i would have went that route.

I put a stainless steel Flowpath from MAC performance on my truck (09 4.6), and it sounds great. It's no too loud in either the cab or outside, but you can hear it well. I just removed the stock muff and pipe from the clamp back, and went to the auto parts store and got all the fittings and pipe needed to install. I even welded a support rod to the new pipe that uses one of the old hanger brackets. It took about an hour to do it in the driveway.
I had a Flowmaster 40 on my 02 silverado 4.8 ( I know, I know...). It sounded good inside the cab but lacked volume outside.
I dumped both just before the axle.
Don't get "exhausted" trying to make a decision. Good luck

I had a 14" MagnaFlow Dual catback put on my 2009 FX4 with the 5.4. It also has the mandrell bend pipes. The shop that did the work put a video clip of it on you tube. You can listen to a sound clip here. YouTube - THEMAN000000's Channel

That sounds REALLY good. I also like that they stuck the tips way out near the edges of the truck. Looks much better than being just on either side of the hitch that I see so often.
