Some hitches are universal fit and can be adjusted. If that is what he has, then it should work. I don't know about one specifically designed for a Chevy though.

I bought a 12K receiver for my E350 that did fit perfectly. Its hard to imagine that one intended for a Chevy would fit so well.

Just curious, are you able to find parts readily, across the pond? Are there many E vans there? How do they compare to European vans of similar vintage?

no its not worth checking for parts inside EU

faster, cheaper and easier to get them online from the US

but ... still a lot of online parts where companies wont ship abroad (dunno why)

Only the E-line is holding up for rust all Chevy´vans are almost gone now as you can hear them rusting away minute by minute

was a lot of chevy vans here in the 90th caused by a no tax rule on reg and import , came a few e-lines as well but not many

I think the chevy was the one to have at that time

VW caravelle / Multivan model T4 are everywhere and looks the s¤#"

as for function the e-line is superior in dailyday use with children !

as for driveability the VW and japcrap is best , the e-line is almost getting of the road when hitting roundabouts , and cornering

not to mention mine if you look at the pictures above

If you really want something from people that won't ship overseas I might be willing to help you. I live in Canada however, but live right on the Border and use a shipping service there all the time. I won't charge you for the effort but I imagine shipping costs would be quite high.
