I found this turbo kit on Ebay, im not looking to put an Aurora 3000 on my 6.9 because that would about equal what i got the truck for. So I wanted to know if you guys who are ATS experts would look at the pictures and tell me how long the fan has got left because some of you guys looked and found potential problems

i have seen this guy iirc have that kit and others like it a few times before on c.l. and ebay he always ends the photos with the dog... i dont know if the pixels on the camera are messing with the photo of the fins but they didnt look the greatest

Take notice the system he's selling only comes with the high adapter intake hat for running an intercooler. In the same photo he shows you the snail top hat to run it stock without an intercooler but is not included.

So, if you bought this you would:
1.) also have to get an inter cooler and the appropriate plumbing tubes and fittings
or
2.) purchase a snail top hat to mate to the turbo compressor.

 

It looks like it has a banks DP too so that can't be bad.

 

na the dp is the pipe to the left of the cross over its the ats slip in

 

Oh, I thought it looked like the banks upgrade thats wasn't smashed flat. I guess not...

 

The ATS kits had 3" downpipes.

Ford used the smashed down pipe on the factory turbo engines.
many of the factory turbo's have been upgraded to the ATS turbo outlet flange and 3" downpipe.

Banks kit is great right out of the box! No need for upgrades.

 

he might be talkin about the upgraded banks down pipe that fits the factory turbo, they do make one for it 87

 

Yea this guy has sold this kit 3 or 4 times on ebay... or ones pretty much just like it. I remember the tarp and the dog well lol

I don't think so, he sells banks kits too both new and old versions. I don't know though, it very well could be a scam.

 

Could be a guy that works at or owns a wrecking yard. Going to do some research and see what else he sells.
