First Indiana Get together Poll...VOTE NOW!!!
Okay Indiana chapter members...we've talked about it long enough...if we are going to plan...let's start PLANNING!!!
I've posted three possible State Parks for the Get Together...let me know where you would prefer to hold our get together by voting!
What I'm thinking is once we decide on the place we can then decide on the date...
My family camps and I'm hoping a lot of you folks camp too...either with an RV or with a tent...but we'll also rent a pavillion for those that don't camp to come and enjoy the park for the day of good friends getting together to share a pot luck lunch and some good old fashioned BS-ing!
So...VOTE early!
We'll keep this poll open until say Valentines day...then we can decide on the time/weekend.
Thanks for voting...remember this is YOUR chapter...let's make it great and fun for all!
Joe.

Doing research...
Okay... based on my short reviews I'd have to say Brown County. They have full hookups for the RV, and that's the first time I've seen that at a state park. The non-campers may have no idea what that is but me likey! Provided we could make the dates of course.
One vote for Brown County registered!

FYI...I've been to them all...and they all have great pluses with small minuses...
Mounds is a nice small campground...not the typical large campgrounds that some SP's have.
The hiking at Mounds is pretty cool too...they have "ancient" indian mounds (hence the name)...the "great mound" is where ceremonies were held and there are other smaller mounds out in the woods and during the equinox's and solstices the sun would be in a straight line with the smaller mound and the great mound...kinda cool if you think about it.
The other SP's have very nice hikes too!
I agree...while full-hooks are nice...not a deal breaker for me for a weekend...
BTW...I'll reserve my vote until the end incase a "tie" exists because I can go anywhere as they are all very nice parks!
I tried to pick parks in the central park of the state to allow the most flexibility for the extremes of the state. There are awesome SP's north, south, east and west...so I picked "middle" if you will as choices...
Thanks for voting guys...!!!
No matter what SP we choose...we'll need to coordinate booking the sites ahead of time...which people will have to commit too...these places typically will fill up so we can't wait until the last minute...you can book 6 months in advance to the day of when we choose...

We can start kicking around dates...early June say weekend of June 3rd
Or out in August 13, 20, 27 or after Labor day say September 10, 17, 24
These would be the possibilities given my 3 week trek in July and the holiday weekends which we should avoid.
I can start another poll for the dates too if that is desired but one way or the other we'll need to decide on a date...
