How many mpg's are u guys getting in 5.4 superduty
I just wanna know u read on here what everybody get's and i just find it hard to beleive.I have a 05 f250 Crew Cab 4x4 with 3.73 rearend with 122,000 on it.I know miles might have alittle to do with it but i get 10.7 mpg on the highway. The truck runs great no oil burning everything is fine with it how am i getting that when people say they 15 to 16 i just don't understand it.Mine is all stock no tuner or exhaust nothing stock tires everything i just can't see people getting that without being in a 150 or something.Riddle me that one batman.lol.
I hear you... I bought my truck expecting about the same. I'm running basically the same truck except an '02. The best I have ever gotten on a long highway trip was 12 MPG but its usually 10.5-11 at best.
2010 F350 5.4L 3.73LS ZF6 Supercab 4x4 longbed. I am getting 13 to 13.5mpg highway and 11.5 to 12 city. I get 0.5mpg better in the spring/summer months.
my 01 250 4x4 club cab short box was getting 19.2 to 19.5 highway.have not checked it in a while.the 4x4 is totally manual lever and free/lock hubs. and it also has 3.73's in it.
Truck in my sig gets 12.5-13 in mixed driving (70% highway).
I get around 14 unloaded on the highway (90% highway).
5-9 towing my trailer (7-8K) depending on terrain.
my 01 gets 10.5 city and 12 highway. when i first bought it best i got was 17 highway. now i keep alot of tools in it and have a contractor cap so what i have on the truck really kills fuel economy
03' FX4, 3.55 rear, auto, 72 mph, 128k miles = 15.75 mpg heading north, 16 mpg heading south. 300 ft drop in elevation from Houghton Lake, Mi to Wyandotte, Mi.
This was the last check in Dec. & no wind issues.
My '01 F250 4x4 averages about 12.4 MPG, I check it every tank fill. It has NEVER gotten below 12, and NEVER gotten as high as 13. Bizarrely even mileage, never towed with it, but I do run a plow in the winter for a couple hours a storm.
What mods are you running to got those number Smithrngr?? I am trying to figure out how to up mine!!
the only thing i have done to the truck other than lights and air bags is put a k&n filter in it,and take off easy and get up to speed and use cruise when ever i can.
06 350 reg cab just checked mine 8.8 nasty but did have the fisher plow (sail) and ran in 4x4 for a few days this week. Plus the weight of the tools in the bed or the racks or my size 14 right foot.......
08 F250 crew cab short bed 2wd short trips and around town in December and January 10.5 (11 by lie o meter). Just this past weekend 200 miles plus interstate at 70 mph 14.5 (lie o meter said 14.7). 3.73 gears and stock tires.

Wow, just wow.
You guys need to look at your fuel sources, condition of the engine, tuneup, etc..something's definitely not right.
What you guys are talking about for fuel economy, is what my V10 F250 and V10 Excursion get regularly.
