Need help installing OEM foglights....
Last week I ordered some OEM fog lights for my 2008 F450 XLT from partsguyed. I recently heard he had health issues, I wish him all the best, but I do not want to bother emailing him at this time.
He did mention at first, the XLT is all wired for them? Although they wont be here till Wednesday, I looked under the truck today, and I cannot seem to find out where the wirning is that i will need to connect them to. Has anyone does this before? if so can you let me know where I wire it too?
Thanks

Look Driver side near the front frame rail and inner fender well.
You may need to install the relay to get them working. You should see
2 wires in a jacket with a plug on the end. Before you plug in be sure to
use some contact cleaner on it to remove and dirt and corrosion. Then top
it off with some dielectric grease to keep is dry and clean.

Mine was easy, i found the wiring harness and it was plug and play! But I am not sure if it is the same on an 05, so I cannot comment since mine was on an 08.

I did mine on my 11, alot may have changed, but the plug for mine was in the center of the bumper, with a cap on it, tucked up behind. If your laying under the truck, its almost behind where you would think the license plate would be.
I also had to replace the switch for my lights on my dash, instead of twisting the switch for headlights, you also pull it out for fogs.

I have an 08 XL. I was told the connecting harness is to the left of the horn, on the drivers side. It has a dummy plug in the connector. So, far, I have replaced the head light switch with the one that pulls out for fog; however, when I remove the dummy plug and check for current with a test light, there is no current at the harness. What am I missing?

I have checked with the key in the on position and also checked with the engine running. still no current, and can't hear a relay. According to the fuse diagram, the fog lamp fuse is number 21, a 15 amp fuse which I did find; however, I have no idea as to where the relay is located. Any ideas?
