Anybody every change a F-150 to a Lightning???

I have a 1992 Ford F-150 5.0 and the engine needs to lifted due to a leaky oil pan gasket. The truck has 110,000 so I was thinking about having a lightning engine, tranny, computer, and headder sent to me here in the Netherlands, But I have never changed engines like this (from one size to another) I was wondering if there is anything else I am forgetting or should I just pull the engine and slap A gasket kit and freeze plugs on it and let here run. She runs great in the last 10 years all that went wrong is a A/C cluth and a starter. I just changed the original Headlight bulbs last month? Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

for a v8 to v8 swap in the f-series, all you need is the motor, mounts, and electronics for the new motor, everything else is the same. what you can also do is just transfer in a plain jane 351w, and then bring in the heads, cam, intake, and headers piece by piece to accomodate your budget.

The price of the swap would far outweight the performance update you would get.

The lightning's came stock (at least 1993s did) with 240hp. You could attain more hp/torque for less money by rebuilding or getting a new crate 302 and adding a supercharger. Your stock 302 came with 195hp factory. For less than $3000 (US dollar) you could get around 345hp from a rebuild to OEM spec motor. The 1999.5-2000 G2 Lightnings had 360hp, so that should give you an example...
