Clicking Noise while in reverse
I can't find any information regarding this current issue I am having on my 99 Expedition. In reverse I hear a clicking noise when I press on the breaks. I have a appointment with the mechanic Monday, but hoping it is a small problem I can fix myself before then. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

[quote=kelligreen;9737110]The clicking sounds like it is coming from inside the dash. Maybe a relay? It is a 4wd with about 120,000 miles.

Judging by the location I would say it's a relay. If it's behind the instruments you might have to pull the gages to get your hand back there to feel around and locate it, then you will need to figure out what that relay is for. If nothing is giving any symtoms of a problem I would leave it alone until something happens. Then worry about it. On the 4WD trucks there is a relay back there, towqrds the center, but you would have a 4WD problem. Is there a problem with your 4WD?
