reputable shop

Ok so im at the end of my rope with this truck. So i'm wanting to find a decent shop to atleast take the truck to to get diagnosed and maybe repaired.

So who are the reputable diesel shops in central ohio?

I heard about lafeyette turbo and injection. but i dont know anything about them or if they do actual service.

oh the truck is a 96 f250 power stroke.

Up this way (Wooster) there is also Wooster Performance Diesel. I've never used them (just got a diesel and do my own wrenching) but I have never heard anything bad about them either.Website is woosterdiesel(dot)com if you are interested.

I found a customer of mine that drives powerstrokes and also works on them on the side.

He's a good guy and train mechanic as a profession so i think i trust him.

other than him i cant find anybody here in cbus.

Exclamation

The lack of posts on this topic is a bit depressing. Surely the forum readers have gotten excellent truck service (not DIY) SOMEWHERE in Ohio.
About 10 years ago my F250's U-joints were failing, I found an excellent shop in the Akron area which specialized in that stuff. I was in & out within an hour for about $150. The mech used a torch to cut through the bad joints. Unfortunately I didn't keep careful records of where this was done.
I've been told my F250 has some missing teeth from its flywheel ring gear, which needs replacing, at which point I'd have the clutch replaced also. I'd like to find someone I could trust with that job who wouldn't charge a ton. I imagine my 28 year old truck might be a wee bit harder to work on than a late model.
