ABS light on f350

haha- It's me again. =) I keep saying my poor truck! lol But I'm trying to address all these little issues because I have it for sale...

Anyway- The ABS light is on. The brakes work great (haven't tried to activate ABS, figured it wouldn't work with light on) and I read in other posts about accompanying problems with speedometer- Mine has NO SUCH PROBLEMS.

I thought I heard somewhere that the ABS sensors can get 'dirty' from driving and can be cleaned, but couldn't find that again when I googled it.

Anyone have any ideas?

When the ABS sensor went bad on my truck I didn't have any problem with the speedometer
I have heard they can be cleaned but mine had to be replaced, not very expensive

One additional question- I see things online about front and rear ABS sensors...is there a sensor on each wheel? If so- is there a way to know which one(s) are the problem?

Check to make sure the wires on the front sensors haven't been worn through by anything (or in one guys case, chewed up by his lab). The wire comes up from the back side of the fender liners, runs up to a clip on the flexible brake line, then down into the hubs behind the dust shields.

If someone nearby has AE, you can have the code pulled and find out exactly whats wrong.

My abs light was coming and going giving me fits. I had my ties put on and got my truck aligned. They called and told me it was the drivers front and they took it out and cleaned it and the light hasn't come on since!

Wow- great suggestions guys!

I have an Advance Auto Parts store nearby...I wonder if they could pull the codes...

Twags6- not sure what an AE is? but thinking you meant someone with a scanner?

I was thinking of taking them out and cleaning them, but was afraid they'll break coming out or going back on...anyone have any experience with that?
