Thanks for that mate.
Yeah, the old girl is fine,,, wet but fine.
I'm lucky. My house and shed only had an inch or two through. Very minor damage compared to some.
For those that are interested in the flooding events here in Queensland, please check out my post,

Oh well, back to gearing up for the big cleanup.
Cheers all.

Fark,,, I need an ARC.
Yeah,, he might be lucky.
The crappy weather and flood water is heading down through inland NSW now.
Our flood peak, in the Brisbane river, is expected in the next 24 hrs or so, and it's a safe bet, it will be over the 1974 flood level. I was in the army here then and I know how bad that was.
5 days ago, it was estimated 840,000 sq. kms of Queensland was under water. Yesterday they said its now up to 75% . I've done the maths. Thats around 1,300,000 sq kms of 1,700,000. Qld. is Australia's second largets state.
I guess some of that has drained, but the flood water we get here, either goes out to sea, (when the tide's not up) or flows south to NSW and Vic. Trust me when I say, the whole eastern seaboard of Australia is in the ****, not to mention our whole economy.
Please do check out my "Downunder post and the reply under it. I urge you to bring it to the attention of any other FTE members you know.
I will stay safe, if not a little wet.
Cheers, Ron.

She's a bit different now. You'll be able to check out the before and after shots,, lol.
I started a new thread the other day showing the finished article.
Here's a link to all the new gallery shots.
Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - RottenRon's Album: Finally done
I realize it's up to you guys to select ROTW, and I should be happy with the old girl winning it in Dec. 2010. Don't get me wrong,, I was really blown away by it, but I gotta tell you, I'm so pleased with the result, (and proud I managed to finish it), that I hope you might consider the "new" truck again.
It was always meant to be a "daily" driver, even though I'll probably only drive it once or twice a fortnight. I operate a small pressure washing business now, and I can't get insurance cover it I use it for that, (pity) so I have another truck for the business.
It has the attitude, lower front, a few creature comforts, performance and "street cred" I was after.
The future couple of months will see, power steering, new roof lining and an stainless "under tray" truck tool box which I've just bought.
Provided the local registration authorities over here, get my paperwork back to me in time, me and the missus (and the truck) are off to the "Shannon's Wheels" car show in Canberra. About 800 miles.
This event apparently, also being the first gathering of the Australian chapter of the F.T.E.
Well, I'm done beating my chest again,,,,lol.
Hope you still like the old girl.
Cheers, Ron.
