My 04 F150, 4.6 liter is blowing oil into cylinder no. 5. I found a salvage engine in a 96 F150. I need to know if I can use the long block. It looks the same, except the intake and 04 has Independent coils, as for the 96 has 2 coil packs. Please if you know any history of this type of exchange, let me know.

 

Your not in CA are you? To keep it emissions legal you cant swap in an older engine...I'm not sure how it is for other states.
