I tore my truck down this weekend and found that my injector wiring harness was all jacked up at the FICM connectors.

They were so brittle that the connector housings came apart in 3 pieces, one piece stuck in the FICM and had to be removed with some needle nose pliers.The pins and wires were exposed. I used a plastic epoxy to try to put it back together, but it turned out pretty crappy.

Needless to say my truck ran like crap when I put it back together. No codes but I had a blown FICM fuse and the truck still ran like crap when I replaced it.

So thinking that that harness is most likely the culprit I started searching for an injector harness and found a guy on ebay that has a pile of brand new harnesses for $109.99. I thought that was a pretty good deal and I know connectors break easily, so I figured I would let y'all know about it.

I don't know where this guy got them, and I hope that they are not stolen, but I'm not askin any questions.

I would check with www.partsguyed.com who is a Sponsor here on FTE I just check his site for FICM Harness part # 3C3Z9D930AA and it's 70.87

 

I couldn't find it on his sight. I don't doubt he has it on there though. I guess it's not such a good deal then. Oh well, thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to check his sight first from now on.

There was an updated injector harness to reduce chaffing. I saw the part number in a TSB. I have no idea what it looks like, but its double the price of the original harness. Its part # 4C3Z9D930AA. Maybe Ed can chime in and tell us what the difference is.
