November BS/Chat

The end of the year is getting ever closer, along with the winter weather. I'm starting the month out good. I have finally got my motor/trans swap done. I have to pickup the new rear d shaft yet so I have not drove it yet. How are you guys doing??

Hey guys!

I can't believe another month's gone. I must admit I'm pretty stoked for some snow.

So dave you got her started. I would imagine your pretty anxious to get her moving. When will you be getting your DS?

I wish I could say I've gotten somewhere with my truck. As of now I'm rarely even driving it anymore. Debating on taking the parts I bought back and put it up for sale or pay someone to install parts and keep it a few more years. Its a tough decision, and I'm the worse at making/sticking with my decisions. I know if I sell it I will regret it soon after . lol

I'm pickin up the DS in about 20 min. Lol. You don't want to sell it! I know how u feel though. Mine sat in the garage looking sad for over a month. N my wheeler is still broke from Labor day weekend!

I'm sure some weekend I could help you get it road worthy again. It's a pain sometimes but ya got to do what u got to do. Loi

Your right Dave, it would be hard to part with. Although its kind of a pile, I love my truck. lol Plus I have a feeling I will need it quite a bit this winter.
Did you get the truck moving again? I bet it sounds a little healthier than the 302 did.

The trans itself feels nice, ya it does feel a bit off right now. But I'm happy with how it feels right now.

Well that's good, I'm glad everything swapped over with minimal problems. I really miss having a manual trans. Gives you something to do while driving. lol

Ya, my first DD was a stick, so I've kinda missed it. I just need to get some resistors to make the computer think the smog stuff is still there. I just need to verify the size. Lol.

Who knows I might have to do a custom tune.

Well hopefully the resistors will fix the problem. I'm sure that's easier than having to buy the software to tune the computer. lol

Looks like its going to be a pretty nice weekend. I'm so glad I have this weekend off!!!

I'm testing it as we speak. lol. I got it warming up right now.

I think I can get a custom tune for around $350

I'm headed out to go hunting tomorrow, so hopefully the pickup does ok.. I have to change oil on it again, and than toss some stuff in it...

Oh man that sucks! So your thinking a custom tune will resolve the issue?

How far do you go hunting? You could always take my truck if you need one for tomorrow.
