November 2010 - General Chat Thread!
Okay...welcome to the inaugural Indiana Chapter general chat thread.
You are free to discuss anything (within forum rules mind you!) in this thread and we'll start a new one each month to keep the size of the thread manageable for the forum!
I'll start...
So last weekend we camped with two friends families and a new couple all from Ohio. Both the friends drive Fords and both V10's like myself. The friend of a friend that I just met last weekend drives a bow-tie duracrap...but he is a heck of a nice guy otherwise! We had a great time. We camped over at Indiana Lake Ohio and I provided a fish fry for the group since I love to catch crappies in the springtime...I've always got lots to go around...everyone really enjoyed the fish. As an appetizer to the fish I fried up some dill pickles in a light breading...they were great with a zesty dipping sauce...and then as dessert I fried up some mini elephant ears with either powered sugar or cinnamon/sugar mix...everyone got to choose what they wanted!...we then sat around the campfire shooting the bull and drinking some beer...what a great way to end the camping season!
My camper is now winterized and I pulled her to the barn and tucked her in for a long Indiana winter...
Anyone else still out camping or otherwise enjoying the awesome crisp fall weather we are now having?
Joe.

Crisp is a good word for Indiana...
Today it is going to be in the 50's and sunny...but windy.
Although we're heading for only 40's during the daytime here next week...wifey isn't too happy about me being back in LA next week where it will be in the 80's!...I've traveled a bunch for work this year...I'm going to end the year with roughly 225,000 flying miles this year alone and that doesn't count the trip to Hawaii for just wife and I since those were 'free' first class tickets!
I just got back from Home Depot...got some outside lights to change and trim the last of the bushes, put the rest of the outside stuff in for the winter and then I've got some indoor light fixtures to swap out before my oldest has 5 - 13 year old girls over for a birthday party...thankfully they are headed to the skating rink for some time out of the house tonight...wifey is going to pick them up at 11...I plan to be well medicated (captain and cokes) when they get here for the sleep over portion! ...
Have fun at the Sands...Good luck too...take a lot of those bandits funds for the rest of us!

Hey Joe, I'll jump in here. I visit another truck forum regularly that caters to my daily driver, which isn't a Ford ......was looking around FTE for a place to 'hang out' and chat it up now and then.
I just picked up a 2000 SD 4x4 to upgrade my 85 F-150 4x4 I just sold. This site has already shed much needed light on my new purchase. Looks like a great site!
