61 Unibody Clutch

I've been digging around here with the search tool and on the net at the various vendors, but haven't found what I'm looking for so...

My truck is a '61 F-250 (VIN: F25JK170***)with an I-6 (C3AE-6015 AC cast on the side) and a four speed T-98. It's been an occasional driver/stuff getter/trailer puller with a slipping clutch for a few years and I figured it was high time I addressed the clutch. I just needed to get it back up and running since this truck will likely get a whole new drive train before it goes through another clutch.

After doing some research, I went with the Rock Auto "BRUTE POWER / PERFECTION CLUTCH Part # 92652" kit offering. I hadn't taken mine apart yet when I ordered the kit, but figured it was an 11" unit and went with it. I went in expecting to replace the pilot bearing,
release bearing, pressure plate, and friction disc and resurface the flywheel...

Then, I pulled my clutch apart yesterday...

The release bearing was so bad that it destroyed the release lever, release bearing hub, and the pressure plate drive lug fingers. I also discovered that the release lever retracting spring was missing. So it's back to the drawing board to find the release lever, release bearing hub, and the release lever retracting spring.

To add insult to injury, the inner "spline area" of the replacement friction plate is about 0.31" deeper than on the one I took off. I'm hoping it doesn't matter.

The only part I've found so far is a
release bearing/bearing hub assembly from Rock Auto. I already have a bearing as part of the kit I purchased, so another bearing would be a little wasteful. Any advice on where to find the release lever, release bearing hub (by itself), and the release lever retracting spring would be appreciated.

Look at the post again, there is no need to call salvage yards. I wanted to see where you lived before editing in the sources.

This is why I typed brb (be right back), watch this post.

Call around for the best prices. The dealers are usually cheaper than obsolete parts vendor Green Sales Co., cuz they are STUCK with the parts.

FYI: Don Sanderson Ford in Glendale AZ has tons of obsolete parts, but has none of these parts.

Good to know. Depending on the route taken, they are only 12-15 miles from my house.
