Help! code p0611
Ok so these last few mornings have been a little chilly. I go to start my excursion and it seems to have a little trouble. It starts and everything it just chugs a little and acts like it wants to die until it catches up. So I run my dtc codes on my edge and I get p0611 ficm performance. So is my ficm taking a crap or would it be something like chaffing wires to the ficm. It seems to drive and idle just fine. Just in the morning when it sits overnight and it cools down. If it is the ficm can I replace it myself or should I have it done since it needs to be reflashed?

Check the ficm test and repair sections in the tech folder. I would try to re-solder it 1st. You have nothing to lose. I don't remember the name of the co. but there is a co. selling rebuilt ones for 3 to 4 hundred bucks exchange. Mark may have their name in that endless ream of info that he has accumulated.

When I did mine, I broke the plastic hose connection under the degas tank, and had to replace it for 50 bucks, so my recomendation is to drain the degas and remove it, but maybe you're not as rammy as I am. Mine was all in vain as the solder looked perfect, but I think there's still something wrong with it, although I don't get a code. Getting the wiring connectors apart is probably the hardest part of the job
