Ford 2.6l - 4.0l V6 Rebuild Manual?
I've been looking around for for a good rebuild manual specifically for the Ford 2.6l-4.0l V6 engine. I've checked out parts stores, did web searches, looked on ebay, etc and all I keep coming up with is information on rebuilding the Ford V8s. I've visited a few web pages that have some very general information, but I'm looking for something a bit more detailed and step-by-step regarding the 2.6l-4.0l motor. I realize that much of the material in the V8 manuals is applicable to the V6s and would probably work out for me, but I was hoping for a manual dedicated strictly to rebuilding the 2.6l-4.0l V6. If I could find a manual similar to what Haynes and Chiltons have for the V8, that would be great. Anyone know where I might find something like that? Thanks for any feedback.

Ford 2.6l - 4.0l V6 Rebuild Manual?
There is a book called "How to Build and Modify Ford 60 degree V6 engines" by sven pruett. I have a copy of it for my 2.8. It is by no means a real rebuild manual like the chilton v8 rebuilding manual but it does have some valuable information. It is more about a guy spending LOTS of money to get a pretty powerful v-6. I am not sure if it applies to the 4.0 but it is for the 2.6 through 2.9. There might be stuff in there on the 4.0 but im away at school and i dont have it in front of me right now to check. I would recomend this book because its certainly worth the 20 bucks or so that it cost me and its the only book i could find relating specifically to those motors.
Hope this gives you a starting place.

Ford 2.6l - 4.0l V6 Rebuild Manual?
Hey Matt -
Thanks for the reply! It does give me something to go on. I haven't had much luck and I can't figure out why. The Ford 2.6-4.0l V6 is a popular motor. Wonder why Haynes or Chiltons aren't cashing in.
P.S. Do you remember where you picked up the manual?
