Just how big IS a 534?

I have put a 534 into a 65 F-350. This is my experience, these dimensions are approximate.
It does out weigh a 390 by maybe 350 pounds, it is also 3-4 inches wider, taller, longer.
I raised the entire cab & fenders 3" on the frame, and brought a small doghouse 2" back into the firewall.
I think you will find on your 75 350 the steering gear will be in direct conflict with where the 534 exhaust manifold wants to be.
As far as the tranny, I think you will find that a very heavy unit must be used. The bell housing was unique to the Super Duty engines. Don't know that you would come up with a clutch and housing to use the smaller medium duty trannys
If you are going to use the truck much, the advice to use a 460 is good. MUCH easier to install.
If the goal is the doing as much as the result, have fun!
If you want any more details about my experience, glad to help. Sorry, no pictures yet.
With enough time, money & effort most anything can be done.
