oil temp sensor on 2002 7.3

i am having problems finding someone to help me locate my engine oil temp and sure could use some help

The sensor is located on the back of the HPOP reservoir, driver's side.

okay thanks for giving that info . i guess i should have ask about my issue. i changed eingines fromm 2002 w/auto trans. to one from 2001 w/ manual tranny and now i have no fast idle when engine cold and am trying to find problem. this is why i am looking for help.

Did you swap out sensors from old motor to new? One other thing to look at is the air intake señor mounted in the air box, did you leave it unplugged?

Also the engine coolant temp sensor on those two engines is most likey different. That shouldn't effect the high idle, but may cause other issues.

i did swap temp sensors because the plugs were different, also changed complete engine wiring harness. i did plug in cold air sensor but so far still no fast idle when cold. it does start when cold but no hiss or fast idle. when i unplug what i think is cold oil sensor it will not even idle unless i step on pedal a ways.
