Agreed, and I am certainly not closed to that idea. I will be looking for the best deal I can at the time. One can definitely save some money going to an extended cab as opposed to a crew cab, both in the initial purchase, and gas(albeit minimal). If I go with an extended cab, I think I will be going toward a 2009+, as the interior space went up a little.
I would love to get into a newer truck with the Ecoboost motor. Not impressed with the 5.4 so far regarding power and economy. But, I got a great deal on the truck, about $4k below blue book with only 25k miles.
I'd trade up to an Ecoboost in a heartbeat if my wife would let me. She says I'm stuck with this one for a while.
